Audio Anchor - Lock Down Your Sound
We got tired of hunting for a spot to strap our portable radio, binoculars & other random gear down, so we made one. Built from food grade HDPE to serve as a makeshift cutting board while in the field, it’s also UV resistant and purpose built for extreme weather. Mount one on your ranch rig, boat, golf cart floorboard, literally anywhere you have 13.5” x 7” of space to work with.
Originally designed to accommodate the Turtlebox Gen 2 speaker, our audio dock has quickly become a versatile favorite among customers who report they are using it with other radios and tethering field gear such as game callers, binoculars, and even to cut limes for ranch waters during their Vueltas.
This board is tough, reliable and overbuilt for most needs, but how you install, mount & secure your gear is entirely up to you. For convenience, we have included corrosion resistant self-drilling TEK sheet metal screws & bungees, but given that there are a wide range of surfaces that your board could be anchored to, we encourage you to choose the best option for your specific needs. Customers report having successfully mounted it using screws, nuts and bolts, bailing wire and secured gear with cinch straps, paracord, bungee cords, and even industrial Velcro. For mounting on metals over 1/8 inch thick, pre-drilling pilot holes is recommended. Pilot holes are also recommended when drilling into fiberglass boats to reduce the risk of splintering & cracking.
